Tough day at work...

Post by JDC222 » Thu Jun 29, 2017 3:47 pm

Spent a couple of hours out on the R.I.B today, 26ft, twin 300's...we were at 47 knots (54mph) which feels like 100 on the water.

Nice day!

47 knots is cranking! It doesn't look like the brackish muddy Texas water....

So trading in the motorcycle for a Boat ? Nothing better than a fast boat we had these twin engine PBL's patrol boat light we went out once and the Sacramento river was rough one guy got a dislocated knee we were just hopping the waves one rough ride. When at Roosevelt Roads Naval base got to go out in the Ribs the seals use had two strait six caterpillars engine you had to be strapped in for the ride the Navy ones went a little over 50 knots. One thing I miss about the Navy. You should trade that bike in you wont regret it for a RIB. Don't know if I ever posted this before a you tube video of my old unit miss that shit.

Not trading in the motor quite yet but the RIB is a blast! We have a new one on the way, with twin 400's !

The hydraulic cockpit and seats are amazing, you barely feel the chop at all!

Cool and bet that was a blast. Love me a fast boat. Takes me back to my 20's and 30's when I had a couple of 60+ mph boats.

Envy

Sounds like a great way of varying your duties. Not only do you have a proper job (compared to my bullshit career) you get to play with a super-fast boat too

No boat for me, so I cruised the coastline today.

Those side-by-side's are pretty fun Chris! I'm sure you see some pretty decent sights on the beaches there

The sights aren't terrible. I even took some photos with some bikini clad 20 year olds today. I have to say it was a good day.
