I have to say the silver dial won me over when I tried it.

Oh, I would get the silver dial over the black Mark XVIII or the tribute... hands down. But the tribute is a cool looking watch, if I was looking for another black dial watch.

IWC Tribute to Mark XI - It's Official

Bringing back the thread with actual wrist shots.

Petre and I did some window shopping on 12/24 and were able to see the Tribute model. It had just arrived and was waiting for its new owner.

The combination of store lighting and shitty photography skills make the faux-lume appear in photos to be darker than it looks in person. You can see the entire shot appears somewhat orange, including my arm.

I liked it. It was more attractive in person and the 40mm x 10.5 size is ideal for natos. It would also look outstanding with a Perlon strap.

I still might get one.

It was an easy choice for me once I saw the watch and tried it on. The block hands did it for me The strap is well made but for me it was too long and because it is leather backed you can't tuck the tail of strap under like a traditional nato. I wear mine with the Mark XVIII top gun strap on it.

Mike

p.s. looks good Ed...

I would castrate that ugly useless rings nato.
All m18s look terrible with those bull nose rings hanging off the watch

Same photos, but I corrected the color to appear closer to how it did in person.
