Not sure if you guys already caught this news about Timex recently.
Seems like Timex is working with France's Micro-Electro-mechanical Systems experts
SilMach to build a new kind of movement. SilMach uses "nano technology", and can
produce very small mechanical parts often made of silicon. Which can be more durable,
and use less power than metal. Now Timex, and SilMach look to use MEMS technology
not only with their own watches, but for other watch company's quartz movement
watches, and smartwatches also everyone.
