New High-End GS
Hey guys, just wanted to show you some pics of this awesome new GS that was just announced. It's got the new 9R01 8 day spring drive movement in it.

They're 43mm diameter and 13.2mm. Wish they could be thinner given the hand wound movement, but man are they gorgeous. I'd overlook it (if I could afford to) in a heartbeat.

Just beautiful! How much do they run?

I don't have any precise pricing but I'm expecting it to be above $50,000.
I don't mind the 43mm size though. It's a little larger than I'd prefer, but if anyone wants to give me one for Christmas I won't complain too much.

They're practically giving these away compared to the platinum SBGD201 lol.
The price is just a guess though.

Re: New High-End GS
Yes, out of my reach unfortunately. I'm really hoping they put this 9R01 in a stainless case down the road with something a little more approachable, maybe 10k would be reasonable.

Great new GS…

You have to be a super undercover baller to pull off a $50K Seiko.

Re: New High-End GS
This GS has a bit of bling factor to it. You might be able to be an overt baller with this one. But baller-ness generally is a prerequisite.
Re: New High-End GS
Looks great, love the dimensions, but at that price I'd be putting my money into a platinum Daytona. J

Re: New High-End GS
8 day movement doesn't seem that innovative anymore. 16 days and I'd be impressed.

Put it on Hodinee. They'll sell out in minutes.

Re: New High-End GS
This summarizes most new GS for me. Amazing looks. Stupid, really really stupid, size. Now their prices are getting super stupid for most new watches as well. I guess they really DO want to break into the mainstream.TimelessLuxWatches wrote: ↑Wed Jun 21, 2017 1:48 pmThey're 43mm diameter and 13.2mm. I love it. I bet those dials are amazing in person. I do wish it was smaller and $47k less, however.

Love the black gold flake with gold. Unobtainium however.
Think 40mm would be perfect for this one so too big for me. But as far as aesthetics in top-range Seiko I put the black one runner-up to the Eichi II, which is my Japanese grail, and the right size to boot at 39mm.

Yeah, 40mm is my preferred size and my own GS is 40. But you're right, the Eichi is still probably the best high-end watch out of Japan.

It's pretty. In stainless for $2k it would be great, but $50k is crazy talk.
