I'm on the other side of the world and have as little to do with them as possible, got a watch off them in March which faulty, probably quicker for me to fix it here as we have done in the past with their product.

I truly don't understand why anyone here would buy a watch from that company and expect anything other than getting it in the ass.
cheers,

I totally agree with this- except an older version that's out of warranty anyway. Any watchmaker can work ok them... as long as the dial, hands and bezels are intact.

Yep it is that time.
Although they should change the recording and set the message service so it won't take messages.

I'm thinking about rebuying one of my old ones with the domed crystal...

ETA 2892, so service isn't a huge concern. Still a nostalgic favorite of mine.

I used to love the product Matt but MK ended that,as long as my ass points to the ground I will never buy another thing from them.My story will be posted here at a later date and let me tell you in my country KWC would have been charged with fraud.
I have never dealt with a company in the US that's treated me like this,it's truely rotten and it starts at the top.

Between you, me, Shorty, and Tucker we could write a book. It's a shame too, because the watches have excellent design.

I offered to fix his problems years ago, but he wanted to be loyal to the team he had in place. This is now the second shake up, but I'm skeptical that it will fix anything.

I think there are a lot of companies in the "new economy" that are basically running their own crowdfunding by portraying that products are available when, in fact, you're "prebuying" something and funding something that isn't even off of the ground yet. It's kind of like selling fish before you catch them.

Match this funding model with a lack of resources, abilities, and capabilities and you end up with something akin to a Ponzi scheme, where every guy like me that buys a watch has to wait to get it because my $4,000 is going towards working and finishing things up the chain.

All of this is why, as a small business owner myself, I'm seeing how much more clearly and true the statement is: it takes money to make money. The honorable thing is to make certain the money you "take" isn't off of the backs of the people entrusting you.

What recent Kobold buying experiences have there been here? Was the model desired in stock? Are all built to order now?

The two girls he hired were useless. They were nice people, but didn't know watches at all.
