Zenith Pilot
Hey guys I'm looking at a zenith pilots watch and have never handled one. I know Simone here would have owned one at some stage and am interested in impressions.
I was looking for the Cafe Racer but a black face has come up and thinking about giving it a test run.

Well made. Solid movements. Great looks. Nice straps. I still own the bronze.

Re: Zenith Pilot
I'm looking at the Extra Special in Steel identical to your bronze version.
Would have to trade the Mm300 for it and well that's a big call I have had that watch since the GFC.

I've tried on the bronze - comfortable, great strap and a ton of style. I want one eventually. Haven't seen the SS version.

Re: Zenith Pilot
I think they are fantastic looking watches. Depending on what you want, they also do a 40mm version but not with in-house movement. I have tried on the 40mm and it's very comfortable, the size is just right for my 6.5 inch wrist. Looks are still the same as the larger versions. The bronze case suits the overall feel of the watch but I can't get my head round why they would call a pilot watch a cafe racer?? Seems they're trying too hard and Zenith should stick to what it Is, a pilot watch. A fantastic looking pilot watch

Re: Zenith Pilot
I have always wanted a Zenith but if I am honest with myself I have actually always wanted an El Primero Zenith. The one I'm looking at has the SW3000.....
I'm not a movement snob but I know what it was that originally drew me to lust after their watches.

Re: Zenith Pilot
Don't know if you're considering a chrono but I had the El Primero Pilot Chrono and it was amazing

Oh hell yes that chrono is the snizzle that's what I started looking for.
Drama to take what I can today and restart the watch fund or hold out.
