Nothing good happens when private equity firms get involved. First hand experience....
Yep, lots of jobs will be eliminated.

I've worked for PE owned companies for years (still do). As long as they are hands off and within their niche, the companies run just like a shareholder owned entity, sometimes better due to their funding

I love both of mine but yeah the resale values suck. When I had a timekeeping issue with the Aerospace, they took care of it quickly and with no fuss. I hope their service doesn't deteriorate with the sale.

Their best design period was 2000-2009 imo. Hopefully this is good for the brand.

I think it's impossible to predict how things will develop in these situations. I used to regularly buy R M Williams stuff, but since LVMH some of their products - such as their traditional canvas jeans - aren't what I'm used to, or want from the brand. I guess it's really a case of wait and see
Regards

Steve

I hope you are right...I've had two companies raped and f$&@ed by those types of assholes and seen another in my industry stripped and wiped out.

I am dubious.

Demos pics have made it apparent that I needed a Seawolf in my life... so picked one up yesterday. That among several others his pics have caused me to purchase

Got to agree PE ownership is a duel edged sword it's a horizon view. Decisions are made about the short term resale value of the business not the long term viability of the business, the health of their employees or any other consideration. Your looking at companies targeting large year on year growth in order to make the returns that they want. In most industries that's not sustainable business model unless your diversified.
