New Tutima Tempostopp Chronograph

Post by AtomicTom » Wed Apr 19, 2017 10:21 am

Not sure if you caught this nice new Tutima called the Tempostopp Chronograph already
guys. The new watch celebrates Tutima's 90th Anniversary, and pays homage to the vintage
1939 Flieger chronograph known as the Tempostopp. A watch that had it's movement details
lost, or destroyed after WWII.

But, thanks to an existing watch from the time, the new Tempostopp with an exact
replica of the caliber used has been created. With just a few of the details including
a 43mm 18 karat pink gold case, dual level ivory dial with two sub-dials, chapter ring,
gold hands, and numbers, red accents, and alligator strap. Then you have the 237
component caliber T659, a hand-wound column wheel chronograph with 65 hour power
reserve underneath things.

Have a few pictures...

The movement sounds great. 43mm is a bit large but it seems that's the caliber's size.
only accurate watches are interesting

Wow, that is nice. Even better with that movement - really cool concept.

I just realized that the og version in this pic is the one I saw at a GTG at Right Time in Denver. It was a super cool watch.

Very nice Tutima should approach more watches with a smooth bezel like this one.

That sure is a beauty  Tutima are generally overpriced so I dread to think how much something as special as that one will cost.
