New Delma Oceanmasters

Post by AtomicTom » Tue Apr 18, 2017 10:44 am

Has everyone already checked out these new watches from Delma?

The new Oceanmaster Collection is a nautical/diver's style line which pays tribute to offshore
yacht racing guys.

It Combines the brand's 90 years of Swiss watchmaking, and the expertise of the IMOCA
Ocean Masters who race across the world's oceans also. With an automatic, and quartz
chrono variation that have 44mm stainless steel cases with 500m WR for the ETA 2824-2
powered version, and 200m WR for the quartz powered chronograph everybody.

Some of the other details include nautical bezel, tactical planner, cool nautical markings,
hands, and markers, stainless steel bracelet, and rubber diver's strap also.

Here is a look...

That's the worst pre-release rendering I've seen to date. What's with the red and blue squiggles?

Is the "plus minus" supposed to show you where the batteries go?

The pointless red and blue widgets on the dial make an already smallish (and cluttered for the chrono) dial look even smaller. And crowded as shit. Pass.

Its not so much the watch itself, its the name. I didn't know they had a 90 year history but I immediately thought it was a micro brand.

Lots of history and decent pedigree -500 meters, cool case,

I don’t understand the dial and bezel markings, but then I don’t really understand why someone would go out on a boat without an engine .... lol, please keep the flamethrowers in their holsters, I’m just kidding

This thread is over three years old

The bump was probably for spam, like the post a few above from whoever Mcbay is.

There’s just too much going on the dial. Too many colours. Too many markings. What’s with the +/-? I like the case shape especially around the pushers...if they went with a minimalistic dial design, it would have been a more interesting offering.

It’s not a boat if it doesn’t have an engine.

Sometimes a watch just catches your eye. And when you’re stuck in quarantine, you’ve really got some time on your hands to sit back, and take in a ton of watch releases. Established in 1966, the Delma brand has produced a range of sports watches, pocket watches, and complicated pieces. Recently, they announced something that I found incredibly attractive – even if it is slightly out of my comfort zone in almost every way. Developed in partnership with explorer and brand ambassador Nick Moloney, the Delma Oceanmaster Antarctica embodies the true enthusiasm of adventure and a deep appreciation for the Great White Continent. It’s incredibly absurd, and I love it.
