New Breitling Superocean Heritage II Collection

Post by AtomicTom » Wed Mar 22, 2017 11:54 am

Not sure if you have already seen these new Breitlings being unveiled at Basel guys.

You have the Superocean Heritage II Collection with the Superocean II 42, and 46 ith stainless
steel cases, 200m WR, cambered sapphire crystal, unidirectional ratcheting rotating bezel, dials
in Volcano Black, Stratus Silver, Gun Blue, and Copperhead Bronze with nice luminous hands, and
markers, leather, and rubber straps, and COSC certified 28 jewel self-winding caliber B20, and
automatic based off of Tudor's MT5612.

Then Superocean Heritage II Chronographe 46 with 46mm stainless steel case, 200m WR,
cambered glare proof sapphire crystal, unidirectional ratcheting rotating bezel, and dials in
Mariner blue, Volcano Black, and Copperhead Bronze. With leather, and rubber straps,
and 25 jewel Breitling Caliber 13 instead.

Have a few pics...

It's interesting this new partnership between Breitling & Tudor.

Rolex is smart. They produced a cheap in house and now they're shopping it around to gain scale.

No. It's a Breitling.

How are these different than the current versions?

Proportions of the hands seem wrong ...

It's subtle, but the crown is different, hr hand is fatter, bezel has PIP (major issue for many with the last version), date placement is changed to 3 o'clock and lugs look a little thicker on the new version.

From some angles on these pictures it looks like the hour markers are brushed as opposed to polished on the previous iterations. Hope so. If not, I retract my previous comment and these are nothing to get excited about

Meh----As said above, the Breitling movement in the Tudor Chrono is interesting...The in-house movement is excellent but they need a new designer.

Thanks Tom for posting...

Cool, thanks.

Bezel pip is a big plus. Overall like the look of these quite a bit, which is not surprising since I've always like the previous versions. A 42mm blue 3-hander might be in my future.

Love the three hander in blue. Still pine after an older one on occasion.

At first glance, I don't see a difference either. I have to pull mine out to take a look. The bezel PIP is the only thing jumping out at me. With that said...of course I like it!
