BPFF blue dial Ceramic

Post by ericf4 » Wed Mar 15, 2017 6:00 am

What do you guys think of this? I'm smitten. I'd have to sell my steel one though to fund it. He is trying to clear out like 10 watches and this is one. I can't find any comps in price to judge is solid deal.

Damn, that looks good. I still prefer the FF over the Bathy, but that'd be really tempting.

I'm wondering if it goes well in my collection with my Blue BPFF or if i should keep my Grey dial Bathy along with my Blue FF. Trying to determine if its a good price, seems it for new. Curious what preowned go for, but seems rare as hell to find one preowned. Anyone want to buy my Grey dial SS? :)

Looks nice, but is it worth $1500-2000 more? The regular Bathyscaphes seem to be selling for around $6-6.5k.

Good question, here it seems a bit different enough maybe to justify in the case material etc. I have that justification struggle with the Cameron DSSD where its literally the same watch with a diff color dial. at like a 3-4k premium i think.

That's hot- but I do like what you have now with the blue and grey.

It's worth the premium.

If you buy it, try not to drop it.

I don't care for it, but that's more of a personal preference.

If you're asking whether or not it's worth it over what you have, I think it's worth the premium and will likely have better resale (at least in the short term). Blue and/or ceramic may fall out of style over the long term, so all bets are off in that regard.

Just get it insured and then smash it on the ground if you get tired of it.

+1 I think having a blue bathy and FF is too much blue. Keep the grey or flip the FF for the classic black one if you go with the blue ceramic.

Well taking a quick shower break at home from hospital and en route closed the deal. It will be here Monday!!! Can't wait. Art took a pic of it side by side with the blue FF that he and I both own, and the Blue bathy is a diff shade for sure. Will be a cool addition. The AD sent me these pics. Pumped, new baby and new watch. Best ST Patty's Day ever.
