SBDX019 LE

Post by TimelessLuxWatches » Wed Feb 22, 2017 3:03 pm

Hey guys, just thought you might be interested in pre-ordering the new SBDX019. We just opened it up a few minutes ago.

I don't know much about it yet to be honest, other than the estimated price of $3,600 and some shots of it in a catalog from which I based this render.

I presume this is Seiko's "reissue" of the vaunted 62MAS, correct?

At low $2k it seems nice. At mid $3k there is some substantial competition.

$2500 sure. $3500 no. I'll just get the real thing.

Street price should be below $3K, no? Similarly to GS SBGX115/117?

Lol
No offense, but the price that Seiko set is an absolute joke.

Hate to say it, but that really doesn't look very good. And I love the 62MAS.

People would pay crazy money for a Rolex reissue because the real thing is completely unaffordable. Most vintage seiko are pretty reasonble and that's going to lead to cross shipping against the real thing. This is also uglier than the real thing.

I'm not sure why they can't release a no nonsense 40mm automatic diver with mm300 quality construction and design for around $2000 msrp.

I guess there's no point comparing it with other fine Swiss watches at that price. But I could buy 2 MM300 BNIB for that$

I thought that as well but since it's just a rendering for now, I'll reserve final judgment when it's rolled out. Not like I'd drop $3k on one of these but I hope the final product isn't even close to this rendering.

At this price I'm that much happier with my Marinemaster, but I still can't wait to see real pictures.

If the quality is there it screams great tool watch. All business; no bling. An anti-Rolex as it were.

What is the thrill aside being Seiko first diver? I do not see anything interesting there. Also, what does 62MAS stands for?

I think that might have been the model number.
