Re: SBDX019 LE
I presume this is Seiko's "reissue" of the vaunted 62MAS, correct?

Re: SBDX019 LE
Yep, the 62MAS coming back.
Re: SBDX019 LE
At low $2k it seems nice. At mid $3k there is some substantial competition.

Re: SBDX019 LE
$2500 sure. $3500 no. I'll just get the real thing.
Re: SBDX019 LE
Street price should be below $3K, no? Similarly to GS SBGX115/117?
only accurate watches are interesting
Re: SBDX019 LE
Lol
No offense, but the price that Seiko set is an absolute joke.

Re: SBDX019 LE
Hate to say it, but that really doesn't look very good. And I love the 62MAS.

Re: SBDX019 LE
People would pay crazy money for a Rolex reissue because the real thing is completely unaffordable. Most vintage seiko are pretty reasonble and that's going to lead to cross shipping against the real thing. This is also uglier than the real thing.
I'm not sure why they can't release a no nonsense 40mm automatic diver with mm300 quality construction and design for around $2000 msrp.

Re: SBDX019 LE
Ummmm no, I like Seikos but not $3600 worth.
Re: SBDX019 LE
I guess there's no point comparing it with other fine Swiss watches at that price. But I could buy 2 MM300 BNIB for that$

Re: SBDX019 LE
I thought that as well but since it's just a rendering for now, I'll reserve final judgment when it's rolled out. Not like I'd drop $3k on one of these but I hope the final product isn't even close to this rendering.

Re: SBDX019 LE
At this price I'm that much happier with my Marinemaster, but I still can't wait to see real pictures.
Re: SBDX019 LE
If the quality is there it screams great tool watch. All business; no bling. An anti-Rolex as it were.
only accurate watches are interesting
Re: SBDX019 LE
What is the thrill aside being Seiko first diver? I do not see anything interesting there. Also, what does 62MAS stands for?

I'd take a PADI over that pretty much any day.
