The Seiko mm300 is classic, and if you haven't had one yet go for that.

I love Sinn, I've bought and serviced a lot. That being said, the ezm 13 is an odd model. The cool point of the watch is the 60min counter, which should be the standard for Chrono movements. The dial is a bit of a mess. I've wanted to try one myself but have never done it yet. The case size is good and all around size is what I go for. If you find one for a good price I'd have a bard time not choosing it.

Never tried a damasco. I've wanted to try a few, a couple white dial ones look good to me. I know nothing about the models though.

Terry is right. He likes to blow you before you get the hooker. He does this so you'll get your money's worth. This is the spirit of DWC, it's all about giving back.

Make sure you're watch is in the hotel safe first.

Everyone needs to try an MM300 for awhile, before flipping it, because there's about a 99% chance you'll flip it. Get it out of your system. Then get the Sinn.

I find myself in the above mentioned 1%. After thinking for years the MM300 was too tall or wouldn't fit right in almost two months of daily wear I think it's a keeper. Its timing is consistent as anything I've owned save quartz pieces and I haven't needed to wind it once since getting it. I got perfect fitings with both the OEM bracelet and a Crafter Blue rubber strap. It no longer feels top heavy but I'm aware of the heft.

I also think the overall quality is superior to the Sinn 757 UTC I had.

I lusted after an MM for years but a couple of things give me pause. Someone mentioned the long Centre links and now I can't unsee them, and I really think at the price point Seiko should ditch the mineral crystal and fit sapphire.

Another vote for the MM300. As others had said, it should absolutely be experienced at least once. I'm currently on my second :).

Leaning towards the MM300, I owned the earlier version briefly but I love the Diashield and updated lewm on the 017.

Added benefit I'm currently borrowing one from my buddy and he'd sell it to me. Insta-gratification.

That would seal it for me. Although in the States you are only a paypal transaction and overnight shipping away from happiness. Try living out here!

I like the patina/crème/tan look of the markers on the 001 better than the new 017.

Are you still choosing a watch? I'm a little confused I thought the fund was being spent on hookers and blow?

Get the Seiko and buy used. You have to try one once, just to try one. Pretty much everyone loves the watch, just some - including me - found them top heavy and slightly uncomfortable. If it is not for you, yo won't lose much, and then you can get the Sinn. The MM300 has been out for a long time, so if you get the old version, ask about age and/or service history. If you don't you will end up with a 2007 version that is due for a service and has shitty timekeeping.
