It will look small for the first day, then it will look *just right* each morning thereafter. Those things exude pure class in person. I think they hit way above their weight range, visually.

The lugs are pretty long on the Mark XV, I hope it is big enough for you, it's an awesome watch!
The mark XVIII is pretty awesome as well but I think I'd go for the miramar version since the date window placement works better on the observer style dial. I love the color combination of those miramar models as well as the polished 41mm ceramic case.

As for the hands, I agree with you, the older MOD style hands are very cool and true to the heritage style of the mark series. I wish they still used them on some current models.

Love it. Congrats Andrew. Or GLWTS.

Personally, the only IWC to have other than 3239.

And the 3706

The watch arrived today and it's exactly as it was described by the seller. I can't see any cosmetic flaws with it.

It is a bit on the small side for my usual taste but I absolutely love it anyway. It really does make you realize how far astray IWC has wandered over the years.

A couple of quick pics: (looks a bit bigger in photos)

Absolutely killer pickup, Andrew. My favorite IWC Mark iteration.

Thanks for all of the congratulatory posts.

I've worn the watch all day and it is super cool. Toolish but somehow elegant at the same time. Very comfortable too. I'm starting to slowly adjust to the size, the long lugs really do make a difference. This may hang around a while...

I've known. We were in touch about it. I'm not ready. But I think I prefer the larger size and black date wheel of the XVIII. They're not far off each other in price either. They hold their value pretty well. And are probably the best pilot out there.

as i said on IG, it looks great. i have a couple of smaller watches (junghans meister and a 35mm zodiac sea wolf) and it sometimes takes a little getting used to if i wear one of those after, say, wearing the U1, but it's not that bad. you do kind of forget how cuff-friendly a smaller watch can be until you switch to something like this.
