Hopeful that the vintage stock opens up tomorrow- if not I'll order bead blast so I don't miss out.
I'm not going into this thinking it's the best watch ever, but for $500 I like the design and I love the movement inside.

I think it looks like a cool watch, but I think I opt for a Halios at this price point and style.
Still, it looks well-made.

If you are referring to the Seaforth, there is a $175(plus shipping) difference and with the Miyota 90S5 automatic movement(as opposed to the “Elabore” grade ETA2824-2 used in the Evant).
The Evant bead blasted version is in stock with a high availability. The Vintage is currently out of stock.
It's a beautiful world! Gerald.

Is it elitist of me to consider $500 and $675 in basically the same price point?
(If so, I apologize)

That must have been a really short window; I checked it last night during the SB (Patriots Rule!) and it was sold out, and again this morning. I guess I'll hope for one showing up for sale used, although probably at a premium.

i agree with you, matt. i mean, i'll admit i do like the seaforth better. but even without that, there's something to be said for the track record (quality, service, resale value).

It's interesting but missing a size match between the lollipop and plots throws it off just a wee bit.
only accurate watches are interesting

Depends on if you need to save up for 12+ months, or if $675 is an impulse buy. Generally I'd say yes $500-700 is the same price point.

Guys I know a lot like of you are really happy with this homage, but i just can't warm up to the design. I guess I'm not a fan of the narrow rounded sapphire bezel.

Kind of. But you get some originality with the Halios so that might be worth the price difference.
