The First Piece of the Rebuild...JeanRichard Terrascope GMT
This was the watch that kicked off my end of the year spurt to modify my collection. My first JeanRichard brand watch a Terrascope GMT. I picked this up new from Ashford around Christmas. I liked the simple face, the case work between brushed and polished, and the size of the watch at 44mm. The bracelet has a sturdy balanced quality feel. I have very few GMT watches in my collection so this fits in just fine. I found a new Grey OEM Rubber Strap on the bay to add some versatility to the watch. The watch has I think an odd 25mm lug width. If you’ve not tried a JR I highly recommend!

looks good. I'd like to see it on that rubber strap. I bet that'll look sharp.

Gary - that looks great! I've often wanted to try one of these, but ended up getting something else instead - need to stay focused

I hate to yet again bump a 2 year old post, but I still own my Jean Richard diver and (ironically) it is one of the few watches in my collection my wife actually really likes and wishes I wore more often. If nothing else, it certainly is different than the traditional designs I am commonly drawn to.
As for the strap, there was a reseller in Florida I remember getting a quote from. The straps were fairly pricey however at about $90.
I'm pretty certain the brand is dead now, however, and I'm not certain anyone is stocking those straps any longer.

I don't think this brand is still operating but if they still are somehow, I actually bought my JR rubber strap directly from them back when I had mine shortly after that initial JR-palooza on Ashford. Couple of emails, easy Paypal transaction if I remember correctly. But that was like, ages ago.
