Part of the building...Longines Hydroconquest 41mm

Post by 1watchaholic » Thu Feb 02, 2017 11:11 am

Since early January this brick has been my everyday wear…Longines Hydroconquest 41mm Automatic. I’ve owned this watch with various dial colors, Blue, Silver and of Course Black. However, they were the models with PCLs, and the dials with the 12,6,9 numbering configuration. I saw these models as a “dress divers.” I did not like this particular model at first when Longines launched this version of Hydroconquest. I did like the upgraded ETA 2892-2A movement in this model. I guess sales reflected the change did not go over as well as expected because they went back to the “dress diver” look. The more tool look grew on me and I thought this would fill the void for a more daily wear diver with the brushed SS bracelet. This was the first diver brought in the add more Black faced watches into the collection. Longines makes a quality dive watch that often flies under the radar.

I added a 41 mm Hydroconquest Auto in 2018, its my daily/dress watch and rarely off my wrist.

I definitely prefer my steel bezel, vs the new Ceramic bezel. I managed to pry an extra bezel for my HC from Swatch NJ, which wasn't easy.

Now that is an impressive run Gary, but it's an impressive watch,
and doesn't even look like it has worked up a sweat yet ! :)

You have to love how this has such a classic, and almost vintage
way about it. But then is nice, and modern from it's hands, and
numbering, to case, and case-back ! Awesome really !!! :headbang:

Longines is such a great value; akin to Oris. Owned one of the original HC divers for a bit and for the price it was great
