Anyone ever own two of the same watch?

Post by sierra11b » Sun Jan 29, 2017 9:34 am

But in different colors?

Thinking about picking up a white/silver Mk xviii but I already own the black dial. Too redundant?

Orange and black BASM here. I'm not too proud to admit.

It totally depends on the size of your collection. With that said, there's a bit of redundancy (per my wife) among my ten or so watch collection.

I almost bought an electric blue SMP to go along w my black 2254. I jumped on one and missed it, and waited a few weeks and the urge was gone :)

That's the thing the urge hasn't gone.

I bought the MBII thinking the urge for the white dial would subside, but now the idea of flipping the MBII for the white xviii is stronger than ever.

Then like Jacob said, if you have the room in your collection and $, go for it.

I'm no help, I've been coveting the white BPFF to go with my black one. Wtf.

There are people who have 10+ submariners because they have subtly different dials or fonts. Buy what you like and will wear.

Owned these a while back, prior to being raked over the coals by Damsko's piss-poor CS for my DC-67.

I never felt odd about owning both versions at once.

Like Chris, I also have 3 Turtles.

Yes. I think the color really does change the character of the watch especially going to brighter/louder colors so it doesnt really feel like its the same watch.

I did but realised that they are to many other nice watches to own basically three of the same watch so kept the white GMT and sold the other two and with the money brought a doxa 1200t and a sinn u1 and don't regret it

At one time I owned 3 sets of twins, but with different dial colors. Down to only 1 now.
