Collection Remodel...Mido Ocean Star V Titanium

Post by 1watchaholic » Thu Jan 26, 2017 3:44 pm

Many remodel their homes, however, I’m undergoing a collection remodel. The first arrived yesterday full of DWC DNA! Here’s new to me a Mido Ocean Star V Titanium watch. The face and bezel color is very trippy! It goes from grey to brown to even a matt black in low light. I love the orange bezel markers as a highlight of the watch. It’s light on the wrist and the ratcheting clasp is super cool! The first brick of my remodel has been laid! :fro:

Nice, Gary. These look like a ton of watch for the money. Curious to see what else you have coming in.

That's a nice looking watch. I think I read in one of the sales posts that it has an in-house movement? I had no idea Mido made an in-house movement.

They are a part of the Swatch Group and only the Swatch Group Brands are using this Calibre 80 Movement. So "technically" I guess it is an in-house movement.

I'll say I'm extremely impressed with this movement as well. Power reserve of 80 hours is as advertised, and mine gains a little less than a second a day on the wrist since I've had it.

I need another, but I want to mash the blue dial/bezel into the titanium case.
