Just in-Orion 1 Red!
I am really impressed with this watch. I was a little apprehensive about the long lugs on it but they work. The crown on this watch reminds me of the one on the Unimatic, super easy to grip and the movement winds effortlessly. Case work is great on this watch, if it was completely brushed it could pull off being a field style watch imo. The crystal has a sweet dome to it with a blue a/r, it pulls some wicked colors in the sun.
For such a young brand I think Nick did more than what most seasoned companies can't do. And that is to put a watch at a decent price, great quality, and not a homage/copy.
Specifications:
38mm case diameter not including crown, 41mm including crown
20mm lug width, 49mm lug tip to tip
9mm knurled and screw down crown
100 meter water resistance
Drilled lugs
Domed sapphire crystal with blue AR coating
316L steel case
NH35 automatic, hand winding, and hacking movement
Luminous dial indices and hands
1 Year warranty against manufacture defects

That looks really sharp. Does it sit well on the wrist, or is it a bit tall?

Without the crystal it is only 12.3mm, with crystal it is 13.7mm. At least that is what my shitty calipers say.gonzomantis wrote:That looks really sharp. Does it sit well on the wrist, or is it a bit tall?

Nice pick up!
Re: Just in-Orion 1 Red!
How does it fit with the straps/lugs on the wrist? It looks like the spring bar holes are in from the ends a bit. I have a citizen watch with a long gap from the hole to the then of the lugs and when I try it on a non factory strap, the lug ends poke out horizontally from the strap and look and feel odd, I catch the lug ends on stuff...
Though I must say, You forgot a pic of what would be my favorite set up..That blue dial and a blue toxic royal...

Actually the way the nato curves over the spring bars the nato contours with the lugs. Kind of cool honestly. I was afraid the lugs would also be to long.DoctorC wrote:How does it fit with the straps/lugs on the wrist? It looks like the spring bar holes are in from the ends a bit. I like it. Would like it better all brushed, but I like it still.

Thanks broChocodove wrote:Looks pretty good. Congrats, Terry.
All brushed would have rocked. And some cathedral hands.59yukon01 wrote:I like it. Would like it better all brushed, but I like it still.

Nick, they are 49mm. I was told my Nick from Orion watches he made the lugs a little longer than the spring bars so natos would contour to the case. And they do. I am really liking this watch. Specs wise though it doesn't sound like it would work. But it does.dnslater wrote:Looks great! How long are those lugs?
Also the qc on this watch blows away most of the ones I have owned in this price range.

It does, and your canvas strap fits right up to the case with no crazy gaps.Panerai7 wrote:Very cool T. Looks great on NATO and Canvas

Wayne, I am not sure right now since this watch is on sale if I recall. And on my work computer I can't get to his site. But I paid $465 for it.marchone wrote:Price?
