2016 year in review. Whatcha get?
Thought I'd do a year in review thread and see what DWCers acquired this past year. I slowed down considerably with 9 this year. Here they are in order of acquisition.
Re: 2016 year in review. Whatcha get?

Re: 2016 year in review. Whatcha get?
For me it was a year of consolidation rather than acquisition. I sold several pieces and only added these two:

These came and have stayed thus far...
This is the 2 I worn the most:
Re: 2016 year in review. Whatcha get?
Only three this year. Prices on vintage watches I like cost more than I want to pay and I only buy when I get a little deal were I don't pay as much but those are getting fewer. Next year mite be just getting a few of my vintage watches serviced in the collection so I can wear them instead of buying any I am kind of happy with the collection right now.

Some strong additions, boys. Andrew, I love the AP. Rob, congratulations on the jlc. It's worthy of grail status for sure. Mike, love the additions and thanks for the outgoing.

I'm starting to narrow down what I like and getting away from flipping. One outgoing that I miss, pam212.
Three additions

Re: 2016 year in review. Whatcha get?
So after I had a long ass post of my acquisitions and departures prepared, tapatalk crashed and didn't save a draft.
Long story short:
Flipped everything, these have stayed (for now) -
(Never going anywhere)
(Next on the block)
(Last purchase of 2016 - a modern classic)

Re: 2016 year in review. Whatcha get?
More in than out for me, but it's all about consolation now. After my intro Speedy from Master Wu, here are the highlights:
My first Sub from Seth.
A long sought 6306-7001 from Alex.
Both the SBDC027 and SDGZ013 went to a good guy across the pond, and the 6309 to the Far East.
SM300 came from Todd.
SKX175 got to Nick and that big white G-Shock given to a deserving young lady.
And then Wu's Big Block from Dan.
The Triple-Six and GS Diver joined, and found the MM300 a good home with Wayne.

Thank you Kris. Some really strong additions across the board (and from everyone else). That Seamaster is one of the most iconic ever produced IMHO.greenlightning wrote:Some strong additions, boys.
