I really don't get the crystal back on such watches.

White dial is a cool option

When Jacob speaks, people listen. I have already gone into production with my Omega-wannabe crystals as if there is one thing I know, it is that my company is far superior to that shit brand.

Why ask for the collective opinion of you already had your mind made up?

My mind wasn't made up, hence this thread. I do agree though after reading input that a solid caseback is the only way to go with a dive watch. I do fancy the sapphire casebacks though. Perhaps there is a non-diver in my future somewhere.

I would go solid and beef up the lume (if possible).

Make the clear case back an upgrade...not to open a can of worms but why do I really want to see a sellita movement?

Yes. Sapphire is unnecessary and added cost.

I'd also prefer a higher grade movement rather than a nicer decoration.

Agreed. Solid caseback it will be.

Regarding the movement, there are still shortages and extended lead times with ETA. I've been toying with designs and specs for an "in-house" movement (modified Swiss) but I'm not ready for that at this early juncture in my company's lifeline. Some day, though.

Sellita has been better with their manufacturing capabilities which is why I landed there.

Happy Holidays, Ed!

Sellita is fine. I liked the sapphire case back on the Raven Defender, but it was the only one I ever owned.

That watch should have a solid back.

It didn't. From my sales thread:

lol honestly it wasn't horrible but good point made. Unless the movement is decorated or impressive why bother? Just another point of potential failure.
