Another EOY SOTC
Nothing is going to change before the end of the year (unless my wife has something big planned for Christmas!), so I may as well do an EOY SOTC.
This year was focused on consolidation and so I sold more watches than I purchased. In fact this year saw only two incomings - the lowest number in a long while. Here's what I'm left with:
Panerai PAM 190
Panerai PAM372
The PAM190 is the watch I've owned the longest and I don't intend to ever let it go. I've had the PAM372 for over a year and love it more now than when I first bought it.
I miss my 111 from time to time but I strap on the 372 and quickly forget about it.
Omega Speedmaster Professional 3570.50
Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 2500D
I sold my Aqua Terra 8500 a few months back but plan to hang onto the Speedmaster and the PO. The Speedmaster is, well, the Speedmaster and I have yet to find an iteration of the PO that I like better than the 2500. Both should be sticking around for a long time.
Glashutte Original Senator Navigator
Glashutte Original Senator Observer
The Navigator was one of two watches that I purchased this year. I've always had a thing for B-Uhr style pilot watches and the Senator Navigator is one that's been on my radar for years. I was lucky enough to stumble on this recently serviced example a few months ago and snapped it up. I swapped out the stiff-as-a-board OEM strap for a Drew leather strap and that completed the package.
The Observer has become one of my favorite watches. I love the dial layout and the beautiful blue hands. The case shape is just perfect for my wrist and the watch is super comfortable. The big date is the best in the business. I love everything about it.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Memovox
Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Chronograph
I was initially worried that the Master Memovox and Master Chronograph were going to be too similar - the cases are essentially the same, and the dial color, markers and applied numerals are very similar. But the complications are obviously very different and therefore so is the character of the watches.
The mechanical alarm on the Memovox is very cool and surprisingly loud. I can't say I use it very often but I really enjoy it when I do. The pusher action in the Master Chronograph is light and super smooth. I find myself using the chronograph more in this watch than any other I've owned.
Audemars Piguet 15400
This is the watch that motivated me to consolidate. I've been frothing at the mouth for an AP for well over a year and endlessly debated between the 15400 and the Diver. Now that I've owned the 15400 for a little while I have no doubt I made the right decision.
IMO the hype surrounding this watch is justified. The design is iconic, the watch is beautifully finished and it is super comfortable on the wrist. I know some people consider it a dress watch but it was originally conceived as a sports watch and I think it's really very versatile. I'd wear it to bed with my jammies if I wasn't afraid of dinging it on the bed frame
That's where my collection is at the moment. I've got some things on my 'want' list for the coming year but, for the first time in a long time, I'm pretty satisfied.

Amazing collection. Love the PAM 190 and the Memovox. As for the AP, a classic will always fit in anywhere.
