My Dad found this !!
My Dad found this !!
So me and my Dad were talking and he told me that when he first came to Canada he decided to buy himself a watch. This was back in 1970-1
So I ask him what kind of watch was it? He says an 18k gold ZENITH
I'm like WHAT?? Where is it ???
I dunno he says he can't remember where it is. I'm like you better find that mofo!!!
So today I go over and voila ! He found it. I have no clue what model etc it is and will take it to my watchmaker tomorrow to have it looked and at see what it's worth etc etc.
It actually runs also! Wound it up and she works! I believe is a full mechanical (not sure if auto). Didn't pop the caseback yet. But overall it's in pretty dam good shape.
Any ideas which it is ?

The watch is tiny though and definitely not wearable for male wrists. Gonna measure it up.
Really interested to know what this thing is worth.

35.6mm spring bar to spring bar

Re: My Dad found this !!
So stopp[ed by my watchmakler this AM and showed him the watch. He said it looked great for its agae and when he wound it he also said it felt fantastic and very smooth. I left it with him to clean up around the crystal and give it a look over and he just thinks it just may need a lube job based on what he felt winding it. She's goona look like new when he's done with it. Cant wait.
He will also find out the exact model and specs on it as well and what it's value is.
Look forward to the end result !

Very nice one Danny
My Dad found this !!
Update guys ! I got the watch cleaned up and movement serviced !!
Also got the details on the watch.
It's a Zenith cal 810 ser# 3xxx2594. Date of manufacture 1955-1960
Watchmaker opened it up and was happy to report the movement looked very good and just needed cleaning and oiling. He took before and after pics and you can see the results. All original parts were used and even the crystal which I am so happy about. He just cleaned everything and did not refinish the case or crystal. We wanted to maintain the vintage look and not remove any material from the 18k gold case. My watchmaker was able to dial it in at +3 sec/day which is freakin awesome!
I think he did a fantastic job and also provided me with this great croc leather strap to dress it up beautifully.
My Dad is gonna be sooooo happy when I show him this tonight. Heirloom piece without doubt right here !
