Looks like enough profit margin to make both parties happy. I wonder how many people will spend $2,200 on it.

$2200 for a micro watch head is tough to stomach. The watch looks like it was made 10-15 yrs ago design wise; very dated looking to me. I'm sure Smitty will get them sold though. His rabid fans are out there too.

"UDT" eh? Wonder if there's a gift certificate for a matching trident tattoo at that price

Not bad. The trident seconds hand is a little much for me though.

I'm surprised that nobody has addressed the giant squid in the room.

Hard to see the watch selling well at that price point.

P.S. I think this is the first time I've ever seen an official watch photo with the hour and minute hands overlapping.

Me neither, but they had to give an unobstructed shot of Prometheus' squid.

I'm not a fan of any logos or gimmicks like that on a dial, unless it is something personal. (Like BRICE did with his Undone)

That does not look like a$2k watch. I dont find Resco designs very appealing in general.

Ummmmmmm. I'll pass.

- Design already looks dated and already done.
- Octopus logo is too in your face on the dial. Would have been better on the caseback.
- Bezel looks like it was taken from a $200 Seiko Monster.
- The seconds hand is too trendy....looks like it was taken from Invicta.
- A $10 nylon strap included for a watch with this price tag?
- Price is way out of line. What is the "premium" I am getting for this price range when compared to comparable watches?

(I like the AEgir waaaaaay better. Much more refined and high-end appearance).

I am sure Prometheus marked it up quite a bit also. But the watch would be a great $500-700 priced watch, maybe.

So bottom line is that Prometheus thinks the questionable "Made in USA" aspect is worth an extra $1500 to buyers? Perhaps if only they were Tibetan Americans.

Isn't this the same price as the regular resco line anyways?

Pretty much, overpriced that is. But Resco is assembled in the US, just not made here. Prometheus loves US brewed equipment.

He used the reference since I said it was a 500-700 watch.

Never have tried a Resco, but that's almost pre-owned Omega, Tudor and Sinn prices. And yes, the CD2 looks way better.

Most standard Asian made boutique divers with standard 2824 movements seem to go for $500-$700. At least they used too. This watch has a printed dial, off the shelf hands and a $15 non branded strap. Colorado made is the only thing that sets it apart. It needs more going for it at this price......... Looking at the comparison above, the Aegir screams class next to the SPD.

Sorry but I'm not caught up with all the news on micros. Is this resco or Prometheus?

Price is not justified. Aegir is on another level.
It's a beautiful world! Gerald.

I was giving this model a few hours time thinking maybe it would grow on me. But, nope.
Your comments pretty well express my thoughts.
