Steinhart Aviation GMT

Post by ANOMALY » Fri Aug 13, 2010 6:06 am

This watch is nothing but impressive!

ETA 2893-2 GMT Movement...

Great Size...

Crazy Lume...

It came on one of the very nice Steinhart, deployant, rubber straps ( odd because it is pictured on brown leather) which of course will not be staying on the watch. I am not even going to size it so once I find the bracelet I want, if anyone is interested in it we can talk...

I would like to find a bracelet with open links or one like some Breitlings have, the metal with circles cut out...

...so if you see anything like that, let me know!

It's really blue, not a PS effect!

This has been on my radar for a long time. I'm also liking the Marine Chronometer Vintage. Nice pickup.

Congrats! I remember when they had the Aircraft 8 series but they had no lume which was a total deal breaker. This series rocks!

I never gave Steinhart much thought before seeing your pictures. I just checked out their website and these new Aviation models are great, especially the PVD model with the 6498 handwound movement. Great prices too.

Could you please tell us what the lug-to-lug length is? The lugs look fairly long, but angled downwards. TIA

 I did the next best thing, and looked it up. Gnomon Watches carries it, and specs the lug-to-lug length at 55mm. With my 7.125" wrist, the longest lug length I can pull off is 52-53mm, tops. :crybaby:
