A great trio.

I wish you luck, but I am not overly optimistic you will stay the course.
cheers,

Keith

I can't do a cyclops.

Also decided I need a date.

Maybe an EZM1 some day.

The important bit is you're living the watch life. SD4K rules. I agree you need a Speedy Pro. Horses for courses.

That Zenith that RMM just picked up would work for me. Or the Zenith reissue one. If I had the coin. Maybe.

Good luck to you!

I'd love to get down to 3 or 4 watches myself but have not been able to do it yet. This morning I made a list of all my watches and approx what I could sell each one for - the total amount was ridiculous. I made sure to shred the paper before it could fall into my wife's hands...

To be done you need a cheap beater when you do stuff that mite beat up those three keepers.

Good point. I do have a couple Casio digitals, including the black & orange PRW3500, but I wear them so infrequently that they don't count :)

That was a perfectly reasonable, educated, well thought-out explanation of a three watch collection. Makes complete sense. Now you just have to delete watchrecon and never look at a WRUW thread again and you should be fine! For a little while

It's funny you post this, I'm almost in the exact same boat. I've gotten really comfortable with my little collection and it almost mirrors yours. SD on bracelet, Shogun for nato's, and two Tunas as my beaters/Quartz. Really happy so far. Good luck on trying to go cold turkey.

maybe an idea would be to have that 4th slot to be the "rotating" piece and work through less expensive pieces to "play" with. that way you can still have some of the fun of trying things without it being a big expense (and potentially be beaters because of that).

It's not just recon. I was done myself, minding my own business, casually browsing DWC, when I discovered that I "needed" a ZRC. At least for me, I'd need to go into full isolation. No watch sites. But honestly, even if you delete them, you know they're still there. It starts innocently enough, you'll just take a quick glance to see how people are doing. No interest in their watches though. Then maybe a quick recon check, just to see the value of your keepers. Then it happens. It always does. Short of the internet ending, it's inevitable. Sorry.

All true. I also got semi-erect at that ZRC (or maybe it was Mike's wrist, not sure) but I resisted pulling the trigger.

The "rotating 4th" position sounds plausible, maybe somewhere down the road.

No lawn bowling, but I am considering "crochet night" at the senior center.

Great job hippy. I am at a similar place with three watches and haven't bought or sold anything in about six months. However I know that it never lasts in the long run.

I'd love a Shogun or MM300, but I don't know when is mid actually wear one. Any time I'd wear the MM I'll wear the SD4K, likewise the PO over a Shogun. All are great watches, just not necessary.

One reason I tried to get to this place was that it's difficult for me to decide which to wear, so this makes it easier.

I hope.

Exactly why I sold the mm300. Too similar to the SD and I would always reach for the SD.
