Will be interesting to see how this affects other suppliers like Sellita and Soprod.

Horrible horrible retail sales tend to make you reconsider voluntarily cutting off a revenue stream. Too bad for ETA, a few of their "high level" customers have created their own in house entry level movements (Panerai and Tudor most notably). I think the shine will come off ETA movements when they're primarily associated with micros and brands which are too lazy and cheap to go in house.

Not sure if this is possible, but I would love if Weko decided to not approve the increase of sales of movements to third parties.

I personally wouldn't give up a Sellita for a ETA, they have been rock solid for me.

They're going to have much tougher competition than they did a decade ago. Those Fossil made STP movements look especially nice.

Really is interesting Andrew ! Almost is like the Twilight Zone, or something.

Wonder if prices will be lower at all. That would be neat ! Also cool is that we'll
have more movements out there to choose from in the end. Thanks a lot for
the news Andrew !!!

It was a stupid strategy to begin with. Glad they have realized it.

I'd call Nick Hayek and tell him to eat shit....
