Old French watch company. Still around today, but mainly mfg bracelets and straps. In the 60's/70's they had some pretty cool tool divers. This is a re-issue of one of those.gwells wrote:never even heard of ZRC.

I'm going back to that too. I have the Borealis ScorpionFish, but it is not the same, if you know what I mean.
It's a beautiful world! Gerald.

That's a very cool watch with some interesting features like the ability to rinse the bezel without taking the watch off and the unique extension. Pricy though.

Need? Not sure what you're trying to say? Need has no right to be in this conversation.

I wish they'd gone with the big lolipop second hand on the re-edition, but regardless it's really cool. Might be a tough flip though, when the time came? I wasn't even aware of it till just now, but I really like it.

The first re-edition was a closer release. The Sport-chic is the one above. This shows them side by sidejswing wrote:I wish they'd gone with the big lolipop second hand on the re-edition, but regardless it's really cool. Might be a tough flip though, when the time came? The first run is going in the $2700-$3500 range. On the flip...that's what I'm not sure of. The flipside is that because they were contained to French only releases, there are quite a few US guys who missed out. Dunno....

The vintage ones you show look good.
The new version looks kinda bad with they awful bezel and the text on the dial. And that crown../ ugh
Just be like me and wait for that 300 re issue coming at end of summer...

DEATH FROM ABOVE
I have the limited edition ZRC (no date) .....
They had a few snafus in dealing with VAT when they first launched, but those appears to have been resolved.
As for the watch, I love it. One of the only modern divers in my stable. A bit larger than the original, which is a good thing in this case.
Overall, one of my favorites.

Also pretty cool you can't put the watch on unless the crown is all the way in.

They look alright. I prefer the older version - cool handset and size.

Re: I do NOT need this, but....
What about the CREPAS version of that which came out a few years ago? I bet you could snag one of those for $500 +/- to try the look out. If you like it, then flip the CREPAS and spend the $2K on the re-issue.
Personally, I like the looks of the watch, but it would likely be a weekend only kind of deal. At a $2K - $3K spend, I am looking for a watch with a bit more versatility (as in maybe a Tudor BBB or Pelagos).
