Melissa Arnot and Alpina

Post by AtomicTom » Wed Jul 06, 2016 11:31 am

Have you guys had a chance to read about this?

It's about some impressive feats by American high-altitude pro climber,
and Alpina Ambassador Melissa Arnot.

Earlier this May, she managed to somehow climb Mt. Everest without any
supplemental oxygen, and now is looking to conquer the highest peaks in
all 50 states in just 50 days.

Looks like she will have her Alpina Horological Smartwatch on during all
her climbs as well.

A Timely Perspective for you guys...

She's pretty cute, but I'm not sure she has much to do with watches.

She has as much to do with the as MOST ambassadors across all brands. It's very few that have any knowledge beyond simply fashion.

Bullshit. You expect me to believe that Cindy Crawford isn't a master watchmaker?!

Seriously though, those people are famous - it's just a tad bit different.

Melissa Arnot is far from a joke in mountaineering/alpinism circles, but she's also extremely far from what most consider elite. Good for her for getting the Alpina sponsorship.

Her sixth summit of Everest, hardly a famous pretty face.

That's what you take from her achievements?

Also impressive is the fact she did so without the use of supplemental oxygen, which less than 200 people have done.

Sorry. Was referring to modeling/endorsement/whoring ones self out in general. Though I wouldn't mind being paid for being me and idolized for dropping my kid off and picking up from school.
