The first time I set my Omega SMP I pulled the crown straight off - it was like a gag watch. I feel your pain.

Yeah my next watch was MKII Milsub GMT - crown got stuck and never came off. I was almost a Mkii fanboy before that.

I've knock on wood, never dropped my watches however, I'm the watch stem killer! I can't count how many watches I've had to service do to needing stem service.

Well, that sucks ass. At least you get it serviced and you'll be good for many years.

Update.. seems that it was a simple chrono part that became 'dislodged'. A quick fiddle and the chromo is working again. Still.. went for a full service and case real (crystal & crown replacement).. pricey, but it'll be good to go for another 5+ yrs!

Lucky. I dropped a Speedy Pro years ago and pretty much destroyed it. It's still sitting in a drawer.
