Incoming GO...
If you read my posting about the Topper GO event last week you'll know that I was excited to see someone wearing a watch that I've long admired - the Senator Navigator Automatic. I haven't seen one in years as they've been long discontinued but I think it's one of the best B-Uhr homages that has been made. A couple of days after the event I got a text from Matt Wu saying that he spotted one for sale! I was shocked as they don't come up for sale often. Long story short, the watch will be here on Tuesday
The case is 44mm and fully brushed. As with my Senator Observer, the Navigator wears a bit smaller than its size would indicate because it has relatively short lugs. It has a "B" style dial which I really like. The movement is the in-house caliber 100-09 and this particular watch has the optional sapphire case back which shows off GO's movement finishing. The movement doesn't hack, but the watch has a pusher at '8' that is used to zero the second hand.
Really excited about this one, thanks for spotting it Matt!

Incoming GO...
Congrats Andrew. I've found a new appreciation for the brand after seeing some pieces in person for the first time.
Tried this on yesterday and I was awestruck
This would be the only dress watch I need

Great watch, congratulations!

Dibs!
I'm looking forward to seeing it in person. I've always liked the GO Navigator line (and pilot watches in general, even though I don't own any now).

Re: Incoming GO...
Thanks guys, appreciate it. I'll post some wrist shots when the watch arrives.
Here's a few other watches in the old GO pilot lineup that are pretty cool (pics borrowed from the internet). I'd love to own the 'A' dial without date too.

I love the old Navigators, particularly the big date with the instance seconds reset function. Cancelling them was a poor decision in my view (although I'm still a big fan of GO).

Re: Incoming GO...
The GO rep I met at Topper the other night hinted that the company might be getting back into the sports watch segment, although he did say that a lot of other companies are doing B-Uhr style watches now so I'm not sure that they'll do those again.TimelessLuxWatches wrote:I love the old Navigators, particularly the big date with the instance seconds reset function. I'm getting the same impression since they sort of backdoor reintroduced it as the Senator Excellence recently.

Re: Incoming GO...
Congratulations, Andrew. You did well to get the optional sapphire case back. Would be a shame to hide that movement

It's 44mm. I think it's pretty difficult to find as it was an LE of 100 pcs. in partnership with Rimowa, a German luggage manufacturer who made the storage case.Panerai7 wrote:OH man, how big is this one and how hard is it to find in LNIB condition?logan2z wrote: I'd love to own the 'A' dial without date too.

Nice! I owned one for a while and the only reason I think I sold it was because mine was the version with the solid caseback that covered up that beautiful movement.
Great piece - can't wait to see more pics!
