Panerai announces smaller, thinner Luminors
Re: Panerai announces smaller, thinner Luminors
the bpff is admittedly a very comfortable large watch, and can be pulled off on smaller wrists. my only issue with the regular version was it was too blingy for everyday wear, and too big (on me) to really look dressy.
ttal maybe would've stuck longer...

I don't think anyone needs to convince each other what size watches should be. Wear what you like and what fits.
Panerai is a large watch historically and should stay that way. No need to chase pencil wrists to sell more watches, Richemont owns other watches for that.
Every time I see this pic I lol. 0 self-awareness
But I also laugh at this picture of my wrist with baby oris

Anyone see these in person yet? Apparently they're out now.

30m? With a crown lock? I guess it's non-functional.Henryj wrote:Got as far as 30m WR. Nope.
only accurate watches are interesting
Re: Panerai announces smaller, thinner Luminors
I like most everything about it aside from the WR and spring bars. Very sexy case.
If you prefer 300m WR and all the other classic Panerai styling , it's still available in other models thankfully!

Luminor DUE
PAM 512 picture from the web
I stopped by at lunch and tried the 42mm. I wanted to compare it the the 42mm 1940 Radiomir. It was difficult to get a good picture with all the overhead lighting.
Both the Due and the Radiomir felt the same in terms of size and thickness. The Due is 10.5mm thick. The Radiomir is 11.5mm. The 1mm wasn't a noticeable difference. I thought I would like the crown guard on the Due over the Radiomir without, but the thin fully polished crown guard didn't look right to me. The other big difference was the dial. The Radiomir is matte black and the Due is sunray black. I also thought I would like the sunray, but I didn't. The matte with the vintage lume just works better.
Overall, the 1940 case was nicer. They discontinued the PAM 512 so I only had a white dial 42mm 1940 case to try on.

Are they actually only WR to 30M? That would make them dress watches with a crown guard...
