Hell of a Week..

Post by r.palace » Sat May 07, 2016 12:15 pm

...I usually say in regards to work but these past two days it's been like Christmas here.

My postman knocks on the door yesterday and has not one but two packages for me.

Image

The registered mail might be a giveaway to some. Here's a closer look at the contents

Image

Got my Pelagos back from Rolex Dallas after a regulation under warranty. Pleasant surprise as I wasn't expecting it yesterday, tracking hadn't updated since Wednesday.

The other box though...

A closer look inside..

Image

Skip to today, mailman knocks on my door - another special delivery. This is all happening too fast, never have I gotten so much cool shit in such a short time.

Delivery from the Tar Heel State

Image

Ripped that shit open :excited:

Sweet sweet canvas from that "drunk dude" as he is lovingly referred to from those that don't know the man, the legend, that is Art

DrunkArt collection up to 3 now. Plotting my next order. Thanks again brother!

Charcoal canvas and weathered Terra plus my first canvas, weathered OD. These look awesome on anything.

Image

About an hour after my strap delivery, I get an email from Duarte. "Your shit is ready, homes" read the email which I took the liberty to paraphrase

ImageImage

Slapped a dome on the 775 because why the hell not? Even though it'll be coming in next week, got the email today so I'm counting it as part of the overwhelmingly awesome delivery week I've had.

Oh, ya..back to that other box.

Image

But I am sure glad to have the Pelagos back on my wrist

Image

Anyway so..

FAWK YEAH!!

Aquis with the sunburst blue dial.

This thing is the tits!

Having briefly owned the Hexa Osprey with the blue sunburst dial, I got to thinking - I've loved the Aquis with the sunburst dial since it came out last year and I wanted to make a move.

This is my first Oris and man for the price it's as solid a piece as they come. I thought the polished bracelet would bother me enough that I'd get it brushed but I'm digging it for now and don't see myself changing it anytime soon.

I love how the dial goes from black to blue and vice versa depending on the lighting

Image

Lume is awesome too

Image

Really am enjoying this one. Bracelet construction is great, doesn't feel too heavy even though it may look like it does. The design forms to your wrist.

I might consider getting the rubber for it down the line but for now it's perfect the way it is.

Awesome ending to this week to say the least.

Thanks for reading

Great !

I Like the Oris. Nice color scheme.

I would prefer the rubber strap with the great clasp.

Enjoy all your goodies.

Hey
I recognize that zip code on the envelope :)
Congrats. Wow! 3 packages, must be your birthday :)

That Oris is beautiful. I almost grabbed the same one but on strap at a recent Oris sale
The dial is beautiful indeed. congrats.

My SDc just came back from the Dallas RSC in the same package. I recognized it right away :)

Thanks fellas! I really did feel like a kid at Christmas.

Very happy with the Oris, bought it like new so I didn't take the initial hit on depreciation

Ben: solid offer, I'll think about it

That's a great haul of goodies in short time. Ain't it great when that happens !!

The Oris is sweet!! I have the rubber for my Aquis and to tell you the truth you'll find yourself back to the bracelet.

Enjoy the goodies and those drunk art canvas straps. I got the same two you just got and they simply kick ass and will be riding my Hexa often.

Sweet haul! You are right, I forgot how the design of the Aquis drapes around the wrist.

Nice! Hell of a week. The Oris looks sweet. And every time I see one of those domes on an SRP it makes me wonder why I didn't do it while I had mine getting the second hand changed.. One day I might have to try a canvas strap too, Art makes some cool stuff.
