Skateboard idea................

Well it was my daughters Bday on the 13th and she turn the big double digits "10" and we gotten her a few cool things for it. But for years now she has been big into skateboarding and we ride around our hood quite a bit on or longboards. Back when I was a pre-teen I use to design my own graphics on my boards and then I would change them every month or so. Just to be "me". Well I was looking at skateboard blanks and I found some at a great price in the US. I think I paid around $35 shipped for it from www.skateshred.com . I couldn't be happier and she was super stoked when she opened the box. Right now I am in her art studio while she is laying down some graphics. Good times for sure!

That's great! My daughter wanted a longboard for her bday last year.
Went to Boardlife, they have a build your own longboard deal where they pick the board, trucks, wheels, risers and deck tape..
She got her graphics laser engraved... Sharing your love and recreational passions with your daughter is awesome!

Very cool. You know my daughter Stella (9 years old) is my surf buddy. It is great to have something you can connect with your kids. It is stuff like this they will remember.

I think it is an awesome idea to use the blanks and have her design the graphics. Stella has indicated she wants to learn to skateboard, so maybe this could be a cool summer project.

That's awesome Terry! My best friend in middle school and I designed long boards but since we didn't have blanks, we used pine and shaved it down. No flex but was fun to do.

Yeah she went a little wild on it today with some paint and said it is a "galaxy" paint job. But she loves it and that is all that matters. Oh and a few weeks ago I dye that purple stripe in her hair, I think it is another part of her individuality for sure. Which is cool with us.
