Incoming Mil Watch
Incoming Mil Watch
Ok not to everyone's taste .
This was issued in 2001 to SBS door kicker. Came direct from the SBS depot in Poole. It's seen a "little" action. Now it's retired in my watch case.
Runs well. It might tell some interesting tales.

Nice.
If it were an issued Sub from years past, it'd be worth a zillion dollars to mil watch collectors in this condition.

Issued CWC are getting silly. Of 150 watches issued in this batch only 19 survived, no idea whyfoodle wrote:Nice.

That's awesome! Love seeing a watch that has some character and history!

I just noticed the sticker is still on the caseback.
Damn that must be some strong adhesive.

Congrats Only thing I would do is replace the crystal or some watchmakers are good at buffing out the scratches and making the crystal look a whole lot better.

Wow, that's more than the "normal light scratches and case swirlies"... Not sure that crystal is still waterproof

Damn nice Nick. I am in the "put new glass on" it and wear it group.
Was that wrong? Should I not have done that?

Re: Incoming Mil Watch
That's cool. As others have said, I'd replace the crystal and gaskets and wear it. I have a new SBS coming, just shipped from the UK, and I look forward to breaking it in. They look better well used than new.
