Stowa MO Blue

Post by jswing » Thu Mar 31, 2016 6:01 am

Just got this emailed from Stowa. Pretty nice looking IMO. I always liked the MO white, but the hands are a little delicate. I like the beefier hands on this one.

I also received it, love it. It's a great blue and I agree on the hands.

I like this one a lot, but I prefer the Marine Original with white or silver dial and the old logo. I think it's truer to the original deck watch design.

am I the only one that everything Stowa puts out is starting to look the same except for maybe a few minor details?

Yes, you are the only one. :)

Seriously, this is a variant of their Marine watch so it's not surprising that it shares a lot of its attributes. If I look across the line at the Antea, Prodiver/Seatime, Fliegers, 1938 chronos etc I see the same DNA but quite a bit of variety.

Doesn't knock my socks off, but overall seems to work.

No, you aren't. I've thought the same thing for the longest time.

Like the blue, simple like the white MO, I like it.

That is a VERY nice Blue and the dial so elegantly simple!

Nice...I am intrigued. I might be in for one. Did the email come with any discount attached to it, or just an announcement?

No discount mentioned. FYI it is an LE of 200 pcs.

Why did Stowa have to change its logo? The old one was awesome, the new one kept me from buying a marine automatic a few months back. That said, I like this one a lot.

Tons of discussion about that on the official Stowa forum. Very mixed reviews.

You can still buy the MO with the old logo - at least you could a couple of months ago. It's not shown on the site but you can order via email. It's worth asking about the MA too.

Just a heads up if anyone cares. The Stowa website allows you to pick a serial number when ordering. Looks like there are 11 left of the 200.
