Looks pretty decent at the price point to me. Blue & black dialed models look a bit classier than the white IMHO

I heard the name is pronounced "gay-vocks".

Haven't heard of a funnier brand name since "Nomos"

Reminds me of some of the AVI-8 watches. Seems like the micros are knocking each other off now.

I like it but think the crowns are too small.

I'm with Terry in liking the blue one quite a bit, and I have always loved dual crown setups. I'd love a JLC dual crown of any flavor, but that is quite a ways down the road unless I feel everything and go down to one watch.

The bezel number orientation is messed up. How will that 30 look upside down..

They are betting that the bezels on internal bezel divers are rarely used.

The Name of the watch is Avidiver as it mixes info from twoo worlds and my brand Gavox stands for vox( voice) ga ( Galaxy ). I would live my watches to go to space as a tool watch. [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]

Gavox Avidiver

Post by Mikavulin » Wed Mar 02, 2016 2:58 pm

Dear Toxicavanger and the community . I am comming to your blog as I saw some of you in this forum posted info on my watches.

First let me introduce myself.

I am Mike, created of Gavox watches. I am based in Belgium and am half American.

I started Gavox in 2011 and got into watch making with the help of my cousin from Technewatches.

watch making is a passion and not my only job.

I specialize in military watches and aim to make watches for Higher ( aviation), Deeper ( Diving) , Farther ( marine or land exploration)

I created my fist watch in honor of my grandfather ( who was with the flying tiger in 1942) Watch called "curtiss P40). Quartz and reto aviation look

Then I did many more . Feel free to check my website www.gavox.com

Greatest achievement yet. I am the distributed and make unique series for some Airforce Squadron. ( actually 6 squadrons)

Gavox watches was chosen recently as the official gift to Rotalty, presidents , ministers from our Belgian prime minister. I am soo proud to know who already possessed my watches.

Regarding dive watches. This Avidiver is the first to reach 20atm for Diving.

The unique moving tm triangle is used a chronograph , coins down, ( on minutes or hours) and as a Zulu time reference.

Cheers and thanks to accept me in your forum

I really like the white dialed version. Looks great with the green (sandwich!!) indices and the orange triangle. Having the triangle move instead of the ring is very novel. I like that too.

Crowns look good to me. I know larger crowns would be easier to use, but watches with the large dual crown don't do anything for me.

Welcome Mike. I've seen Gavox models in the past but this one looks like a winner. Love the lumed triangle on the inner bezel. Very clever.

Hello Mikavulin,

I've been admiring your watches from afar but I always wondered about your name. As far as I can tell it's pronounced GA-VO. Can anyone confirm?

Good luck with the Avidiver! It looks like you have some fans already! You're in good company with Techne!
