Save money on all your insured shipping costs with CGI!
Re: Save money on all your insured shipping costs with CGI!
I've now used them a couple of times. Pretty big money shipments (for me), so was worried at first. Went very smoothly. No problems at all. Can't believe I was paying several times more before, and with no real insurance. This is absolutely awesome. Thanks, nellipj, for the heads-up.

Glad I could point you in the right direction

Their customer care is great to boot. Between Art and Nicholas, they were great.

Just completed my first shipment with CGI. Fantastic. I was able to ship something to the UK for a more than fair price and I am completely satisfied with Jorge and Art's CS. Great stuff all around.

I just signed up Friday. Now I'll have to sell something.

How about you buy something first and then sell it?jswing wrote:I just signed up Friday. Now I'll have to sell something.

I've been buying too much. I really do have to sell something, I just don't know what.r.palace wrote:How about you buy something first and then sell it?jswing wrote:I just signed up Friday. Now I'll have to sell something.

Used these guys last week with same results as everyone else. Outstanding. I'm a tech dummy (not just tech), and had Nicolas walk me through the process. Couldn't have been more courteous or easier to work with.

Just completed my second shipment with CGI. Another success.
My first shipment was incorrectly billed by FedEx and I was charged about an extra $25 by CGI. Contacted Art and received a refund check a week later.
Top notch all around. They have made me open up to international transactions

Mine always seem to cost an extra 2 or 3 dollars when I finally get billed. I must not be weighing accurately.

Jorge is a good dude. CGI has made international shipments less cringe-worthy and that in itself is pretty awesometoxicavenger wrote:Big props to George at CGI, he helped me setup my account this morning.

Jorge handled my registration today. Couldn't have been more professional. He said DWC registrations have been coming in strong.

Right, and I said I talked to George but it was actually Jorge.TSD wrote:Jorge handled my registration today. Couldn't have been more professional. He said DWC registrations have been coming in strong.

What do you guys do about boxes and stuffing?
Fedex just recently started turning me away when I walk in with a USPS box :/

Yeah, that's a Miami thing. You ask them if it's (phonetically Whore-hey) and they all say, no George.toxicavenger wrote:Right, and I said I talked to George but it was actually Jorge.TSD wrote:Jorge handled my registration today. Email CGI. FedEx supplies are free.nweash wrote:What do you guys do about boxes and stuffing?
Fedex just recently started turning me away when I walk in with a USPS box :/
Pro-tip: What you need are S2, M2, and L2 boxes (small, medium, and large - the "2" just refers to the more square boxes as opposed to the flat ones), a big box of padded paks, and shipping label pouches.
All you have to buy is tape. And even then, I only do it because I like it more secure. The box actually has adhesive on it already, so no tape is technically necessary if you have the FedEx boxes and the label pouches.
Re: Save money on all your insured shipping costs with CGI!
Yep they sent me a ton of boxes etc... Awesome guys.

Luckily I have a plethora of shipping tape.
Email sent.

Art from centinel said FedEx is stingy with s2 m2 and l2 boxes. Guess I'll try in store for those
Re: Save money on all your insured shipping costs with CGI!
I'll literally stop shipping with them if I can't get those boxes. They're all I use.nweash wrote:Art from centinel said FedEx is stingy with s2 m2 and l2 boxes. Guess I'll try in store for those

Re: Save money on all your insured shipping costs with CGI!
Thanks for this heads up Zack, I just did this yesterday because the USPS annex is right around the corner for me. Which makes more sense then driving 8 miles to the FedEx.blkgsl wrote:Best part is, you can still use USPS for shipping and cgi for only the insurance portion. Half of you have gotten USPS packages from me with the standard < $100 USPS insurance, it doesn't mean the packages are only insured for under $100 .
