A few words from me.

The watch shown in the pic above is mine.

The watch itself has a great build quality. Especially the case and the bracelet. Fit and finish is awesome.
Like all the other watches from Crepas.
I own a few watches from Crepas and I am really happy with these.

Only the dial has an issue.

I think the hour markers are not exactly applied.

Bezel and chapter ring aligned perfectly.

The costumer service from Crepas is great. So the watch goes back to service. The watch will be picked up on Monday.

I was going to say the same. Not only weak, but blotchy

Yeah that is just horrible looking lume for sure. Watch isn't bad for a homage, but lume ruins it.

Another pic from another watch confirms it

Icing on the cake: 4/4 watches received on WUS have some type of dial misalignment

Wasn't this company tied to Crepas? Edit: yes it is just checked on their site.

I've never owned one but only heard great things, but this one seems to have come out a real turd.
A $540 + delivery one by the way.
I thought it was almost 700 delivered to the US? Maybe that was with the bracelet.

No lume on the dial because they put it on the caseback.

I have one arriving today. I'll let you guys know my honest opinion on this one when I see it in person. I've had other watches produced by Crepas which have all been home runs. We'll see about this one.

Dave... Very interested in hearing your thoughts on this one. I have had my eye on this project for a while as I was considering designing a watch similar style-wise to the Seiko MM down the road.

Hope all is well!

I suggest basing your homage of this homage of the MM300. That would be so meta it would blow everyone's mind.

Dial looks cheap. Micro brands should stay away from metallic brand names. Always comes off looking bad.... like metallic plastic.

A meta analysis is an investigation of things which investigate something else, but it can be used in other ways.

met·a
adjectiveUS
1.
(of a creative work) referring to itself or to the conventions of its genre; self-referential.

Meta-cognition is a really common usage. It's when you actively think about the way that you think.

Roger. I'm familiar with the research angle, but I've been hearing it on TV more the way you referenced it. GD millenials.

The bezel reminds me of that recent mustard colored one installed on a seller's otherwise nice 6159 he was asking a small fortune for.

Mine arrived this morning. Spent a little time with it this afternoon. It is much more impressive in person than the photos that are posted on the web so far. Machining and finishing is gorgeous quality as in the past from Crepas.......unfortunately my dial is slightly misaligned. It appears the the dials are not being centered within the chapter ring on some watches. To me it looks like if the dial was adjusted to be centered, everything would line up properly. Just guessing. In person it is waaaaay less noticeable that the magnified pics show that have been posted. I had the black dial installed. Haven't had a chance to install it on the bracelet yet. Watch overall is gorgeous

Some really quick cell phone pics...

Caseback: The machining and brushed finish is done very well. It has a standard screw in caseback (without the tool recesses). Angler fish graphic is crisply etched (although the edges are a little sharp). The cool lume pip that the angler fish had for the prototype is non-existant. Upon close inspection, there is a hole there that appears to be filled with a clear resin. I have exposed it to direct sunlight but there is little to no lume. Case contour when viewed from the back is very cool. (Excuse the black particles in the two photos. There were some sort of black particles within the clear bag the watch came in that I did not brush off for the photos).

More quick pics....

Very comfortable on the wrist (I have a 7 1/4" wrist). The caseback is completely flat so the watch is very stable without any wobble as you move your wrist around.

Quick wrist shots.....

As usual, your photos are the best of the watch by far. Bummer about the misaligned dial.

How does it wear compared to the MM, Dave?

I too have been following this project. I have a Tactico that I like quite a bit, and was curious to see how this one would come out.

Ultimately it would never get any wrist time, as my 6215 would never stand for it......

I use one also to remove a caseback but putting a caseback on I wouldn't use one.

The MM300 wears a little smaller in diameter but taller. The MM is a little heavier too.
