Some Watch Photos - hope you're not on dial up
Going through some of my old photos, thought I'd post these for nostalgia's sake.
Of the ones I flipped, I think I miss the Planet Ocean the most. Might have to pick one of them up again once they finally put in the 8500. I flipped all of them except the Portuguese.

That IWC Ingenieur chrono is sweet as is the Portuguese.
Anyone know when Omega plans to drop the 8500's into the PO's?

Read an interview (with Nick Hayek, possibly) awhile ago that said to expect them by 2011. Who knows what the actual release date is, but judging by how quickly Omega tends to shift models, I'd say that 2011 wasn't unrealistic.BSears wrote:

8500 PO would be cool, but I'm worried they're only going to have huge case sizes. Hope not though...

I used to have this guy too.
Love the Bremont!

I hope not. Frankly, I think the 45.5mm version of the PO is just right (or maybe right at the limit of what I can pull off).

Forgot the Ebel which is a sweet underrated piece with high value for money.
I think the 2500C is already pretty thick, I imagine the 8500 isn't that much thicker if you consider the Aquaterra 8500 models.

Yeah, not so concerned with the size of the movement, but rather the direction Omega would head with their case design. The Hour Vision models are fantastic but ridiculously oversized for their application.FlyPenFly wrote:Forgot the Ebel which is a sweet underrated piece with high value for money.

True that they did at least keep the a reasonably sized Aqua Terra model with the 38.5mm option, however, they elected to call that model "mid-sized".

just read the WUS thread on this, I think they may goto one size. the CoAx Speedy size is kickass (44.3) and would be a great compramise. Always wondered about the ebel's, interesting case and a quality look..... The black and yellow BTR fs on another forum was sweeeeeeeeeeeeet!FlyPenFly wrote:Forgot the Ebel which is a sweet underrated piece with high value for money.

There's one on TZ righ now for $1500 for a Ebel chrono using their partially in house movement. It's a really sweet watch. They're part of the Movado group but I found the Discovery series to be very well made.
Forgot my second speedy and a Glycine Bl*w Job, so I added them in.

Re: Some Watch Photos - hope you're not on dial up
Surprisingly I've actually made money on my hobby so far than lost. Depending on the resale value of that stow chrono I preordered, I should stay that way. It's the new watches I think that kill you in the long run.
Re: Some Watch Photos - hope you're not on dial up
Nice watches, especially Ingeneur chrono! Is it Titanium? Was it Ingeneur's that had in-house movements?
Re: Some Watch Photos - hope you're not on dial up
Nice photos, a bit pricey for me but they are pretty.

Been through some awesome watches there!
