I like the shape of the case, and it looks good on the strap, but a bit shiny on the bracelet.

Nice watch the C60. I've had a Mk 1 for a couple of years without issue. Not sure about the black, but I'm not a PVD fan...

Looks nice. I like this generation of the C60 much better than the old one with the awkward date position.
Re: christopher ward C60 in PVD
so, on the CWL forum, people were complaining (rightly, i think, and i was one of those complaining) that it should have a black date wheel.
then this was posted:
then this was posted:
i applaud them for working to get it right (even if i think they shouldn't have missed that detail to start with). The launch has been temporarily disabled while they consider the implications of the feedback on the date wheel color. The decision has been made to produce this watch with the black date window. Over the next 24 hours the imagery and launch assets will be updated, and they expect to re launch the watch tomorrow.
Confirmation of the stock delivery date is still to be confirmed, but is still expected to be mid-September.
For those that wonder if CWL listens......you have your proof.
Although it is not always possible to make changes after a launch we have a situation here where those that previewed the model reviewed it and CWL has acted blisteringly fast on the basis of your feedback.
Funny ... I was just about to complain about the date wheel.
as it is atrocious in white on this watch. Shocked they didn't see this on their own, but I applaud CW for listening and making what is really not a difficult change as it will improve the watch by leaps and bounds. With a more subtle date wheel this becomes my favorite CW diver to date.
Well done.

I like the watch but those hands don't work on a divers watch imo. the cathedral look belongs somewhere else.

That's pretty cool of them Greg. Holy cow !
Actually didn't even notice the white date window, but then did after you
shined some light on it. Will definitely look nicer, or meaner with a black
wheel ! Some neat news all the way around Greg. Thanks
very much !

If they really listened, they would stop this Chr. nonsense.

Well, following that logic then it'd be more along the lines ofmarchone wrote:Isn't it traditional over there?

Good looking watch, especially on leather. I just can't do PVD anymore, I wish there was a way to make it permanent.

I agree. But check the lugs... shiny.poppydog wrote:I like the shape of the case, and it looks good on the strap, but a bit shiny on the bracelet.
Overall a good looking watch. Not one I'd buy, but I can dig it.

updated pic with black date wheel.
as far as the shiny, keep in mind that this looks like a rendering for preorders. and the CW pics tend to not be that good, from what i've seen. wait for a real world pic.

The white date wheel is easier to read. If you need that sort of thing.

Re: christopher ward C60 in PVD
the white date wheel was a watch design 101 faux pax...it's good that they fixed it, but they should have caught that from day 1. and it's a mistake maybe a new watch company might do, but not something i would expect from a company with more than several watches under their belt.
it's not a bad design...mind you, not for me but at least it doesn't look any worse than other pieces in this price range.

and tag, breitling, IWC, seiko... just look at today's WRUW and you'll see a whole bunch of watch companies with far deeper roots in the history of horology doing the same thing in general
i personally prefer the more subtle date wheel. and more so on a PVD watch, where it stands out even more.

+1.....I like that color combo in general.Jeep99dad wrote:Looks really good on strap

not the same thing.
why?...because the sub's markers give the semblance of light/reflectiveness/etc to the dial where the white date-wheel looks right. same would be said why the white date-wheel is the 'correct' choice on the mm300, semp, etc.
here, one of the points of the watch is the pvd/black motif so the black date-wheel is the 'right' choice here.
like i said, it's a subtle distinction...some people might disagree. if they were to offer both color date-wheels and let the buyer choose at checkout, i think more would pick the black.

I agree it should be black, but my point is they are not the only guilty party.
