actually I think due to space limitations it might not fit without some grinding of the mesh where it meets up to the case.

Ah, guess I didn't think about that. I never had an Aegir but as far as the screw bar diameter goes the Tunchoy open end type meshes fit the Kobold Seal screw bar and the likes.

Been looking for a mesh for my CD-1. Give it a cool '70s vibe I think. Hard to find a good one from here in Aus though.

Try Corojo or Brindle. Both are very comfortable and have a similar texture to the grab bag leather.
