another one off the beaten track: Swarovski Octea Abyssal
betcha didn't see this one coming
this is the newer version without the swan Logo on the dial. personally wouldn't have minded it
44mm. 200m WR. Runs on an ETA2824-2
chapter ring..solid markers, clean dial design, cool hands..everything I like
add in a blued seconds hand...and an oddly endearing white on black date wheel...
AR coating is solid..whats cool is the facet-ed ceramic bezel
the fit is remarkably good. finishing is matte overall...the crevices could be done better
the bracelet is where it gets real cool
aluminum makes for a super light bracelet that fits real well in the lugs
pretty sure those are crystals
clasp is well made but could be better finished
each H link and middle part can be removed, that and half links allow for tons of fitting options
cool caseback and the swan logo on the crown: which winds and screw in beautifully
bezel clicks real good too, comparable to the pelagos imo
wrist shot, fits well due to the slim-ish case
lume!

Thanks Mike. I've never seen that before, I didn't even know they made watches. I actually really like it. The bezel design is really cool - nice to see someone do something different from the standard 'Sub-style' markings.

Pretty cool watch....
Was not familiar with the company.
What is the lug-to-lug on this one?
Personally would prefer it without the date, but overall they did a nice job on this one.

Interesting design for sure. Are the black elements on the bracelet ceramic?

That is one interesting looking new watch. I did not know Swarovski was branding watches now. The faceted bezel has a killer look.
I like how they put the lollipop on the bottom half of the second hand... just like they do on a Tuna and on the Seiko pictured.
Cool dial.

Cool Mike...I love how you are not afraid to go off the beaten path in your dive watch selection.
Re: another one off the beaten track: Swarovski Octea Abyssa
Boy Mike, this looks insanely nice ! Seems like Swarovski really has been doing
it's homework on dive watches. ..This model has everything we enjoy about dive
watches. ..You've got a terrific bezel, and case. Even sharp looking hands, and
markers. Love the hexagon on the second hand, and finishing touches like that.
That case-back is a work of art, and so is that bracelet. ..This one's so impressive !!!
Congratulations Mike !

I like that watch. As others have said, I didn't know that these existed either. Nice pick-up!!
Re: another one off the beaten track: Swarovski Octea Abyssa
That my my first thought too. Similar white black color scheme and markers if I remember correctly.marchone wrote:It looks a lot like the GS SBGX115.

I had no idea they made watches, that is pretty damn cool.

That is such a Mike watch - totally off the beaten track!

First time seeing one. I like the faceted bezel. I like how this has restraint from being created super flashy, from a company like Swarovski. Curious how the Al bracelet will hold up over time.
