You can download the book as a PDF file 'Speedmaster a time capsule'. If you Google it and hit the one Chuck Maddox put there, it takes about five seconds to download, only drawback is there are no pics but well worth a read from the pdf file.

Looks great on you. I have my first Speedy incoming next week (vintage pre-moon transitional). Can't believe it took me this long to try one...

The Speedy is quite possibly a perfect watch. Enjoy that beauty :fro:

I'm with you. This one's pretty good...

If it's the same one I'm thinking of, I've been very impressed with the movement decoration as well. Nice one for sure!

Very nice pick up. One of those is currently on my short list of next watches.

Great pickup. My wife bought me a 3570 in 2008 for a wedding gift. She was debating between the Speedy and the 16600 Seadweller but, at the time, the Speedy worked out to being less than half the price of the 16600 after a nice 30% discount at the Rolex/Omega AD in town. The dealer wouldn't give any discount on the SeaDweller, so it just made financial sense to get the Speedy.

For me, it's the perfect watch and I ended up buying a mint 16710 GMT Master II to scratch the Rolex itch a few years ago.

that is one fine timepiece. classic style and built to last...the manual winding has got to a great morning ritual. tried one one a long time ago but never pulled the trigger. not sure why...

It was images like this that pushed me over the edge many years ago when I was able to buy mine for $950.00.

I mean... how f'n cool is it to have the same watch that these guys wore into outer space? Three fro cool, that's how cool. :fro: :fro: :fro:

Always the right watch, regardless of what you got on, and always looks great, on any strap.

Perfect companion to a Sub.
