My first Vintage watch, wanted to share.

Post by Joe C » Wed Feb 25, 2015 8:58 am

This is the first vintage watch I have purchased, did my homework, and think I made out alright. Big thanks to Stewart ( Heuerville) for answering any and all questions I had. He's the man

So, what's under the shirt sleeve you may ask?

Yup, a Heuer Carrera in PVD with Lemania 5100 under the hood :fro: lotta firsts here for me. First vintage, first Heuer, first Lemania. Really dign it

Unbelievable Joe ! Unbelievable !!!  You really found a beauty here. Doesn't
even look like it has a scratch on it. The finish looks perfect, and so does the crystal.
Wow, extraordinary find here ! You really must be ridiculously happy tracking this
one down, and then being able to add it to your collection. What A vintage !

HUGE congratulations on this here Joe ! ..Enjoy sir !

Big congrats Joe.. and that watch has proper Heuer DNA..

I bought it from a collector who lives in the Jura area of the Alps, near (TAG) Heuer's home. I sold it to a fellow collector in the US, he had it serviced by his watch guy, who was a watchmaker at Heuer in the 70's.. now you have it!

If I sell I will let you know... Us Murses gotta stick together ;)

I think the gentleman I bought it from made the strap... It's an orange NATO with black suede applied on the backside. He must have used some kind of punch for the hole pattern. Pretty cool.

Agreed. Outta the park. I would seriously consider one of Stewart's tapered awesome rally straps for that watch. The new gray color he showed the other day would be unreal.
