Saturdays WIS Meet in NY 12/12

I packed up some watches...told myself I would only bring 1 watch box as they are fairly heavy to carry around. I had arranged to meet up with a few collectors to do some Face 2 face purchases of watches I had been enamoured with. On my bus ride down there, the bus driver didn't know the way and was taking directions from an attractive "native New Yorker" who didn't know the way as good as she thought. A man with a laptop did a google earth search and with his help we made it to Port Authority. I took a very foul smelling cab and promptly got into an accident within 10 minutes with an impatient lady in a minivan. Welcome to New York! I arrived at Rodeo Bar & Grill where the meet was scheduled where I promptly ordered a Double of Glenfidich and set my watches out. I bought my 2 Scubapro Grails, had some tacos, talked watches with some friends from last year and met some new friends as well. I enjoyed the activities and, Yes it was worth the trip....I had a good time and got some new stainless. Thanx 2 all who attended. Here is a few pics I took while there.....

I'm sorry I wasn't able to make it this time around, as these GTGs are always good fun with good people. Judging by the Scubapros, it looks like it was worth the effort it took for you to get there, Red.

I was going to attend but my companies Christmas party was that evening so I had a bunch of running around to do. I hope to make the next one I like the Rodeo. Last one I went to I got lucky and a spot right in front was open so parking was fairly cheap.

cool pics Red, looks like you had a blast. Im loving the scubapro/breitling vintage, did ti come with the rubber also? that thing is a grail of mine also.
