Seiko SBBN017????
Seiko SBBN017????
So folks.. Kinda hijacking Paul's (deepcdvr) earlier thread about wanting to spend some $$ I found myself opening this link:
http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/prem ... m/sbbn017/
I find myself thinking that at $623, I think I have never seen a Tuna at this price.. Is their a catch or is it simply a great chance to get this baby??
If it is an opportunity to be taken now the only concern that remains is the size, my wrists are 7" and I don't know if I could pull it off, anyone with 7" wrists have any prior experience with Tunas? Pics would be helpful of course

Bro a tuna wears super small honestly and looks great on anything down to 6.5 in wrist size because of the super short lugs.

Re: Seiko SBBN017????
a tuna fits small. it has basically nub lugs. i wore mine yesterday on bracelet and my speed master wears bigger, no joke. its just taller. i can handle tall watches because i wear pajamas to work.
at that price Ricardo you cannot beat a tuna.
and if you wanna sell it... you can make you're money back, and maybe some more after the yen goes back up.

Yes, wears smaller in diameter but tall - 7" wrist with bracelet, ZULU and Rubber for reference:

6.75. The best wearing diver I've ever owned.

All this tuna talk is going to have me wearing mine tomorrow on bracelet.

Just wore mine for three days straight. If you are dive watch nut and you have never sported a Tuna, it seems now is your time. It wasn't that long ago that the quartz version was selling at $800.

It might be short lug to lug, but I've never once seen a picture of a Tuna that didn't make it look like a big watch. It looks like a big watch on a 6.5 inch wrist, and it still looks like a big watch on a 7.5 inch wrist.
Re: Seiko SBBN017????
I don't think our wrist close ups are helping. It wears very similar to a SKX007 and is only slightly thicker.

I don't like big watches, but yet I still want a Tuna.

That's a definite possibility. My 42mm PO looked absolutely huge when I snapped a wrist shot. It's big, but not enormous.Torrid wrote:I don't think our wrist close ups are helping. It wears very similar to a SKX007 and is only slightly thicker.

I had always thought the same, until I saw one in person. It is remarkably wearable and doesn't seem too big. I really was surprised at how much different it appears in the flesh.

That's good, because it isn't a big watch.jswing wrote:I don't like big watches, but yet I still want a Tuna.

When I received my first, my initial impression was also that it was much smaller than I expected.
