deepcdvr wrote:Great suggestions gents. Unfortunately I have a very cool Seiko, two rolex subs (M series and 16800), a dozen ABC watches of various flavors (suunto, casio G and Protrek), I have 2 tritium tube watches, a U1... I've had 3 Bathys at various times and every model Marathon... Looking for something different/cool but inexpensive hehe

CWC Auto Diver is a decent watch for that money. THe SBS/RMC Quartz is also pretty cool. The new Garmin Fenix 3 looks pretty awesome
and out in about a month or so, will have an analogue emulation face and a crap ton of cool ABC+ features.

If you add a couple hundred you might be able to luck out with a bronze shark diver from Helson...

Inbound - getting one of these for 400 bones. Probably not a keeper (are they ever?) but should be fun for a few weeks

Merci Brice!

Great choice. I strongly considered buying that one, but can't get myself to like chronographs. Well, except for that 2-dial Tudor model that was shown recently.

I really recommend this strap for the Tuna. It's how I mostly wear mine.

I'm going for the DAL1BP rubber strap.

http://www.seiyajapan.com/collections/a ... p-22dal1bp

I prefer the rubber keeper.

However, these same straps are on Rakuten for $15 US each (vs $36 from Seiya) so I'll order a couple from Rakuten instead. I'm a cheap prick when it comes to this kind of thing and buying the SBBN015 was a smooth process.

I'll probably go for a sapphire, and then remove the outer AR coating and keep the inner coating. I'm not a huge fan of the blue tint, but would prefer it over dealing with scratches in the crystal
Don't want to mess with your group buy, but have you guys considered the Bonetto Cinturini version? Real rubber and about $25.

I guess I'm a little late to this one. I was going to suggest you use the money as a sweetener for some sort of goofy ass three way trade.
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.

Do you have a link on where to buy? I can't seem to find one for less than $40. I wouldn't mind trying one of those out as I"ve read good things about them

Here's where I got a few:

I'm in the US, but I assume they'll ship to Canada. These aren't the flat vents, I had to buy them from the UK and they were pricier, but I really like the 285. I've had both and actually prefer this to their flat vent.

Luxwatchstraps has that one also. So I might get it.

BaliHai is one of the coolest micro brands IMHO.. That Chrono is a good looking piece for sure.. I know you'll enjoy it a lot.. I've been thinking about getting one, sold my HaiQ last year in the Omega selloff and of all the watches I have sold, that's the only one I've truly missed... Hope to see pics as soon as it lands ;)
