Movas Regulateur II and Oceaner

Post by AtomicTom » Wed Sep 24, 2014 3:25 pm

Not sure if everyone remembers Movas watches, and their Movas Diver from a couple years back. Worn & Wound now has a review of one of their newest models, the Military Regulateur II.

Some specs include a 45 mm stainless steel case, 100 meter WR, dual crowns for the internal bezel, and time setting, a matte black dial with C3 lume, sapphire crystal, SeaGull ST2708 auto movement with 20 jewels, and 42 hour power reserve. You also get a choice of leather, or rubber strap.

The Oceaner 1 is a dive watch on the other hand with 43 mm stainless steel case, 300 meter WR, matte black sandwich dial with C3 lume, sapphire crystal, a uni-directional rotating bezel with C3 lume, Tianjin Seagull Caliber 2100 automatic with 26 jewels, and 45 hour power reserve, stainless steel bracelet, and anti-static Nitrite rubber strap guys..

Some pictures, along with a lot more info at Worn & Wound, and Movaswatches.com...

Unique looking. Not hideous. Reasonable price.

I don't understand the BBS inspired rotor on a dive watch.

At least it doesn't have cheese cloth between the spokes :)

Their first watch several years ago had an interesting original design but had delivery and quality issues. I like the unapologetically Asian concept - no faux Euro bullshit. This one looks like a step up in refinement. I wish them luck.

The 3 hander has a Patek Nautilus vibe...I think it's nicely done based on the images, but they ripped off the wrong rotor for it...should've stolen another design instead.

Yup not sure about the price either foodle. Would think it might be a few hundred
less with the Seagull in it, but I guess the unique design brings it up here sir.

Just had seen these, and wanted to pass the news along.

Thanks for your two cents guys ! :)

Not a fan of the diver... do not dig that two crown set up.

I'm not a regulator guy, but that is one of the more intersting, cooler regulator watches that I have seen to date.

Nice finds, Tom. Thanks for always bringing new watches to the table.
